Job summary

The City of Dallas is seeking a Recreation Center Assistant to support the development, planning, and execution of recreational, cultural, and educational programs for Dallas residents at city recreation centers.

You will assist with program logistics, lead activities, manage registrations, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining safety and proper records. A High School Diploma or GED and a Texas driver’s license are required, with First Aid/CPR within six months.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED.
• First Aid/CPR required within 6 months of employment.
• Must possess a valid Texas Driver's License.
• All applicants must be 18 years old or older.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement programs and activities at recreation centers.
• Lead activities, instruct games, and ensure safety for adults and youth.
• Assist with after-school programs and community events.
• Maintain attendance and revenue records; track program participation.
• Provide information to participants about programs and services.
• Process registrations, schedules, and other related documents.
• Transport youth to field trips and events when needed.
• Enforce rules and safety precautions for activities.
