Job summary

City of Freeport, Texas is seeking a part-time Recreation Attendant to support Recreation Center programs and general operations. The role requires independent judgment, initiative, and strong customer service within a municipal setting.

Ideal candidates will have a High School Diploma or GED, a Class C Texas driver’s license (or ability to obtain within 90 days), and solid communication skills. Shift flexibility includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Texas Driver's License (Class C) required or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Must have good comprehension and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in operation of Recreation center programs.
• Collect and account for receipts from department programs.
• Assist in operating activity programs for the community.
• General housekeeping and upkeep of the Recreation Center and pool.
• Assist customers with concerns or complaints.
• Must have good comprehension and communication skills.
• Be a quick learner and apply self to task at hand.
• Self-starting individual, who follows instructions, can take charge and shows initiative to complete tasks on time.
• Dependable, organized, flexible and service oriented.
