Job summary

Dismas Charities Inc in Greensboro, NC seeks a Counselor to supervise and implement agency policies in counseling and treatment programs. This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, with weekend shifts: Sunday, Thursday, Friday 8:00am-4:30pm; Monday, Tuesday 11:30am-8:00pm.

Pay is $24.92 per hour. Responsibilities include developing and documenting client plans, monitoring progress, coordinating with staff, maintaining records in FreshStart, and participating in meetings.

Qualifications

• Requires a four-year degree in social human services, criminal justice, or behavioral science from an accredited college/university.
• At least one year of experience in human services or community-based services.
• Proficient with Windows OS and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
• Good typing, spelling, grammar, organizational, and phone skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and implement agency policies and procedures in counseling and treatment programs.
• Document client progress, goals, referrals, and individual/ family/ group counseling strategies.
• Document resident movement, behavior, and progress; ensure timely use of the FreshStart system.
• Submit resident release plans, home confinement plans, and termination letters in a timely manner.
• Communicate with supervisory staff, agency, facility, and residents; participate in required meetings.
