Job summary

Penndel Mental Health Center in Langhorne, PA seeks an Assertive Community Treatment Psychiatrist to provide community-based psychiatric care 32 hours per week, delivering evaluations and treatments for up to 100 patients.

You will work with a multidisciplinary team including therapists, employment specialists, case management, and RN staff to coordinate care and monitor treatment responses in a hospital-without-walls model.

Responsibilities

• Provide 32 hours per week of psychiatric evaluation and treatment of individuals out in the community to no more than 100 patients.
• Provide at least monthly assessment of symptoms and response to medications as well as monitoring of non-psychiatric medical conditions and medications.
• Attend Morning Meeting Grand Rounds to discuss clients progress and needs.
• Provide psychiatric expertise to a multi-disciplinary team which includes therapists, employment specialist, case management, Integrated Dual Disorders treatment, certified peer support and a 3 FT RN nursing complement.
• Work collaboratively with other PMHC Staff that includes a multi-disciplinary team of highly qualified professionals.
• Direct the operation of the medication and medical services by actively collaborating with the registered nurses on the team.
