Job summary

The Salvation Army Community Center is seeking a capable Program Assistant to support daily operations, assist visitors and staff, and ensure safety and hospitality within the program space. This role involves helping with meals, activities, and general office tasks, with opportunities to engage youth and participate in community programming.

Ideal candidates are at least 16 years old, with a High School diploma/GED and any experience in youth programs or social services; First Aid/CPR training

Qualifications

• Minimum of High School diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Training and/or education in youth programming, ministry and/or social services preferred.
• Must be at least 16 years old.

Responsibilities

• Care and well-being of program participants.
• Identify and meet individual participant needs.
• Provide friendly hospitality to those we serve.
• Facilitate group or individual activity plans.
• Enforce facility safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Assist with meals and cleanup as needed.
