Job summary

Diversity and Cultural Engagement at Oregon State University seeks a CRC Community and Program Assistant to support daily operations, engage students, and help run educational programming. You will work with student leaders and professional staff to create welcoming spaces and learning opportunities aligned with DCE’s mission.

The role emphasizes frontline center operation, outreach, event support, and collaboration with campus partners, with a focus on identity, equity, and belonging.

Qualifications

• Must be academically enrolled in a school program and able to work as a student employee.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage diverse groups.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team with professional staff and peers.
• Proven time-management and basic project coordination skills.
• Experience in leadership, employment, volunteer work, or comparable activity.

Responsibilities

• Staff Cultural Resource Center during shifts, providing front-desk coverage.
• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in person with professionalism.
• Maintain center operations, inventory, supplies, and digital files.
• Assist with room scheduling, event setup, and calendar coordination.
• Support outreach, tours, and community engagement activities.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings; follow policies and procedures.
• Assist with social media content creation and center communications.
