About The Role

As a Community Porter at Zekelman Industries, you’ll be an essential part of keeping our apartment community clean, safe, and welcoming. You’ll take pride in maintaining the property's curb appeal, common areas, and amenities so that our residents feel at home.

This full-time, onsite role at FLATZ 520 in Maricopa, AZ, is perfect for someone who enjoys working outdoors, is detail-oriented, and takes initiative in keeping environments in top shape.

What You’ll Do

• Maintain cleanliness of common areas including the leasing office, clubhouse, fitness center, laundry room, mail room, and pool areas
• Perform daily trash pickup throughout the property and around dumpster areas
• Sweep, pressure wash, and blow walkways, stairwells, and parking lots
• Assist with light landscaping such as watering, weeding, and raking
• Clean patios and remove debris from vacant units during turn prep
• Support the maintenance team with light tasks (changing bulbs, minor repairs, event setup)
• Report safety issues, maintenance needs, or unusual activity promptly
• Keep tools and supplies organized and stored properly
• Promote and follow safe work practices in line with OSHA and company policies
• Pitch in where needed to support day-to-day operations
  
  

Who You Are

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience in groundskeeping, janitorial, or general maintenance is a plus
• Familiar with basic landscaping and cleaning tools/equipment
• Able to work independently, take direction, and manage time efficiently
• Takes pride in creating a clean, orderly environment
• Strong attention to detail and safety awareness
• Reliable, punctual, and respectful in interactions with residents and teammates
• Eligible to work in the United States
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, and reach for long periods
• Frequent lifting, pushing, or pulling of up to 50 lbs
• Use of manual and powered cleaning and landscaping equipment
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Visual acuity for reading screens, signage, and safety information
