Job summary

Under the Planning and Zoning Manager, you will apply professional judgment to deliver analyses and recommendations.

Illustrative duties include preparing reports for planning projects, assisting in updates to the Master Plan and zoning ordinances, serving liaison to the Zoning Board of Appeals

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in planning or related field required or substitutions accepted.
• Experience in local government planning preferred.
• Proficiency with planning and historic preservation concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present comprehensive oral and written reports and recommendations for planning projects.
• Assist in revisions to Master Plan, Zoning Ordinance, and Historic District Ordinance.
• Serve as liaison to Zoning Board of Appeals and Historic District Commission.
• Support CDBG activities and environmental assessments.
