Job summary

Pueblo of San Felipe seeks a qualified Pharmacist to maintain high-quality, cost-effective pharmacy services at the San Felipe Health Center and related programs. The role emphasizes outpatient dispensing, patient counseling, and medication safety within RPMS/EHR systems.

The successful candidate will review prescriptions, manage drug interactions, participate in testing and teaching, ensure proper formulary maintenance, and support third-party billing while adhering to NM licensing requirements

Qualifications

Professional knowledge of clinical and basic pharmacy to provide direct patient services.
Knowledge of IHS Pharmacy Standards of Practice.
Understanding of the San Felipe community and related traditions is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Performs outpatient pharmacy responsibilities: review/verify prescriptions, dispense meds, counsel patients, reconcile meds, manage refills, review interactions/adverse effects, coordinate with providers, document interventions in EHR.
Provides ambulatory care: patient assessment, chronic disease/medication management, interpret labs, patient education, care plan development and follow-up.
