Job summary

Atlanta Area Council seeks a Community Impact Intern to help grow partnerships, engage the community, support events, and craft compelling stories of youth leadership and impact. The role collaborates with the Director of Development and Council leadership to strengthen Scouting’s role as a trusted community partner across metro Atlanta.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects.
• Interest in community engagement, youth development, or nonprofit work.
• Comfortable interacting with diverse community stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support identification and tracking of prospective community partners across education, faith-based, civic, and nonprofit sectors.
• Assist with planning and execution of high-visibility initiatives and events; handle event logistics and on-site coordination.
• Draft youth impact stories and develop social media content, newsletters, and other communications.
• Capture event outcomes, attendance, and community impact data.
