Job summary

Momentum is hiring a Community Engagement Coordinator to assist in representing and promoting Momentum and fostering community engagement and connection across California programs in Thousand Oaks and Torrance.

The role involves collaborating with program teams, recruiting and retaining volunteers, building relationships with corporate partners, schools, and nonprofits, and supporting engagement strategies that advance Momentum’s mission.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum 2 years in volunteer recruitment/management or related field.
• Familiarity with donor/customer relationship management tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with program teams to identify engagement opportunities and define volunteer roles and training.
• Drive corporate and civic engagement, volunteer recruitment, and donor retention with DEI focus.
• Develop engagement strategies for stakeholders and expand Momentum’s support network.
• Track progress with measurable outcomes and ensure accountability for engagement activities.
• Foster a collaborative environment and strong local partnerships across the Tri-Counties area.
• Design and lead stakeholder engagement plans and manage sponsorship programs.
