Job summary

UNC Health Nash is seeking a Community Paramedic to deliver primary care and advanced life support, evaluating and stabilizing the chronically ill and injured to reduce morbidity and rehospitalizations in the community.

The role emphasizes in-home visits, collaboration with health professionals, and a team approach to extend access to essential services across Nash and surrounding counties, with a 40-hour day schedule onsite at Nash UNC Health Care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Current Paramedic certification is required.
• BCLS certification is required.
• ACLS, CPI, ASLS certifications due within 1 year of hire.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• 2 years of Paramedic experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary care and/or advanced life support, including medical evaluation, treatment, and stabilization.
• Reduce morbidity and avoidable rehospitalizations for community members.
• Support in-home and in-person visits, assessments, and interventions; collaborate with other health professionals.
