Rhode Island Hospital is seeking a Community Paramedic to work under the Medical Director and Manager, delivering patient care, training, and outreach within a comprehensive academic health system. Responsibilities include field assessments, care coordination, data entry in ePCR and Epic, and participation in research initiatives.

The role emphasizes maintaining clinical skills, staying current with literature, and contributing to education and community health programs.

Formación

• Current Rhode Island EMT-Paramedic license with at least 1 year EMS field experience.
• Current Paramedic certification through NREMT.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications (instructor status preferred).
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsabilidades

• Provide assessment and care to patients as part of a healthcare team.
• Identify patient needs and connect with community and medical resources.
• Document encounters in EMS ePCR and Epic charting.
• Conduct patient education and home safety evaluations.
• Travel to various sites and respond to emergencies and disasters as needed.

Educación

Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Nursing or related field
