Job summary

Virtua Health in Voorhees Township, NJ is seeking a Community Outreach Assistant to support health engagement activities managed by the program manager. You will work directly with diverse communities, delivering customer service and assisting daily operations of the program.

The role focuses on outreach, event support, and education about community resources, with duties spanning documentation, inventory, and coordination with health teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in community outreach and public engagement is preferred.
• Knowledge of Burlington and Camden County minority communities is desirable.
• Bilingual ability is a plus for patient interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily functions for department needs, including event setup and breakdown.
• Maintain appropriate documentation.
• Monitor inventory of supplies and keep data organized.
• Assist with administrative duties and maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Provide excellent customer service with patients and customers.
• Educate the community about available resources and programs.
• Serve as a liaison to build trust between residents and Virtua Health.

Supports: Mobile Grocery, Mobile Health & Cancer, or Mobile Pediatric vans.

Per diem hours could be anytime Monday - Saturday, 7:30am - 5:00pm

Job Summary

The Community Outreach Assistant is responsible for supporting Community Health Engagement activities as required by the program manager. The Community Outreach Assistant works directly with diverse communities and provides excellent customer service to assist with daily operations of the program.

Position Responsibilities

• Assist with daily functions as required by department needs which could include, but is not limited to, daily set up and breakdown at events
• Maintain appropriate documentation
• Monitor inventory of supplies
• Keep data
• Assist with administrative duties
• Assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation
• Assist with sanitation and cleanliness to maintain a clean and organized environment
• Provide excellent customer service with all patients and/or customer interactions
• Support the overall wellbeing of the community by providing basic education of community resources
• Serve as community liaison to build trust and loyalty between residents and Virtua Health

Position Qualifications Required

Salary

$19.54 - $29.20 Hourly
