Job description

*Must be able to receive MVR driver's license to drive Virtua’s vehicles.

**Must be able to lift 25-50lbs at a time throughout the day on multiple days each week such as canned goods, boxed goods, packages, etc., stocking shelves, lifting a hand truck in and out of Virtua vehicles and transferring items throughout campuses.

Job Summary:

The Community Outreach Assistant is responsible for supporting Community Health Engagement activities as required by the program manager. The Community Outreach Assistant works directly with diverse communities and provides excellent customer service to assist with daily operations of the program.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Assist with daily functions as required by department needs which could include, but is not limited to, daily set up and breakdown at events, maintain appropriate documentation, monitor inventory of supplies, keep data, assist with administrative duties, assist in maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, etc.
  2. Provide excellent customer service with all patients and/or customer interactions.
  3. Support the overall wellbeing of the community by providing basic education of community resources.
  4. Serve as community liaison to build trust and loyalty between residents and Virtua Health.
Position Qualifications Required:

Required Experience:
Community outreach, public speaking, knowledge of minority communities in Burlington and Camden County. Bilingual preferred.

Required Education:
Minimum HS Diploma required. Associate’s preferred.
