The
Community Outreach Coordinator is responsible for promoting the rehab facility's services, building referral networks, engaging with the community, and supporting admissions through relationship-building and education. They act as the bridge between the facility and the outside world—both professional and public.
Core Responsibilities:
- Relationship Building & Referral Development
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, therapists, social workers, probation/parole officers, schools, and other potential referral sources.
- Conduct outreach to physicians, behavioral health providers, EAPs (Employee Assistance Programs), and community organizations.
- Attend networking events, health fairs, and conferences.
- Community Education & Awareness
- Represent the facility at local events and forums to raise awareness of services.
- Offer educational workshops or presentations on addiction, recovery, and mental health topics to community partners.
- Develop and distribute informational materials and brochures.
- Admissions Support & Follow-Up
- Facilitate warm handoffs for potential clients referred to the program.
- Maintain communication with referral sources regarding the status and outcomes of referred clients (as appropriate and with consent).
- Support the admissions team in managing inquiries and initial assessments.
- Marketing & Promotion
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop outreach campaigns, social media content, and digital presence.
- Monitor local trends to tailor outreach efforts effectively.
- Help maintain a strong and positive public image of the organization.
- Data Tracking & Reporting
- Track outreach efforts, referrals, and conversion rates.
- Report on engagement metrics and identify areas for growth or improvement.
- Maintain CRM databases with updated contact and activity records.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of addiction treatment and mental health services.
- Comfortable with public speaking and community engagement.
- Sales, marketing, or healthcare outreach experience is often valued.
- Ability to work independently and travel locally for outreach events.
