ABOUT THE ROLE

JOB TITLE: Community & Merch Specialist France
LOCATION: Hybrid (Paris)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Freelance, full time
SALARY RANGE: 45K/ year

What you'll do:
  • Manage WeRoad France's online community on our own channels (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Internal Message Board) and on channels we don't own (third-party travel groups, forums, review platforms). You'll moderate conversations and reply in WeRoad's tone of voice.

  • Own the French commercial plan and work with the central Content, Brand and Community teams to adapt global campaigns for the French audience.

  • Translate and adapt copy from English and Italian into French for the website, trip pages, social media, newsletters and campaigns, so it reads as if it was written in French.

  • Keep the French website up to date and well merchandised: trip and destination pages, product listings, banners and promotions. You'll also spot and report bugs or content gaps.

  • Create local content for the French market: record and edit short videos, reels and stories. You'll spot local viral trends and bring a local touch to our Instagram content.

  • Host Instagram Lives and other live formats with Travel Coordinators, from planning the content to moderating the chat.

  • Track website and social media performance (reach, engagement, traffic, conversion) and turn the data into insights and recommendations for the Marketing team.

What we're looking for:
  • Native French speaker with fluent English. Italian, German or Spanish are a plus.

  • 2+ years of experience in community management, social media or content creation, ideally in travel, lifestyle or a consumer brand.

  • Strong copywriting and translation skills, with a good ear for tone of voice and cultural nuance.

  • Empathy and creativity: you understand what our community cares about and turn it into fresh ideas. You also stay organised and data-driven while juggling several channels and deadlines.

  • Comfortable on camera and hosting live sessions, with hands-on experience recording and editing video (CapCut, Premiere Pro or similar).

  • Experience working in a CMS and with basic website maintenance, plus familiarity with analytics tools (GA4, Meta Business Suite, Amplitude or similar).

  • Based in or near Paris, available to come to the office and local events, and registered as a freelancer in France (e.g. auto-entrepreneur).

You will love working at WeRoad if:
  • You dream big, aim higher, and push yourself beyond limits you didn't think possible. Challenges excite you, and you're hungry for the next win.

  • You want to be part of a young, smart, and fun team that shares your passion for travel. You thrive in a community of bold thinkers and doers who challenge and inspire each other.

  • You're an entrepreneur at heart, take responsibility from day one, and move fast to make things happen.

  • You prefer adventure over routine and embrace the fast-paced, ever-changing ride of a scaleup. You make decisions quickly, test, learn, and adapt—because growth comes from action.

  • You believe in the power of people. Our WeRoaders and Travel Coordinators are at the core of everything we do, and you're eager to be part of something bigger.

What we can offer
  • A free WeRoad trip every year – Choose your dream destination with €1,400/year travel discount or travel even more as a Travel Coordinator.

  • Opportunities to learn – We invest in your growth with training and learning opportunities.

  • Fun – A vibrant co-working space, team buildings and meet-ups.

  • Hybrid working - Flexible working, and we support you to work from your destination of choice up to 1 month per year.
