Job summary

Residential Transitions, Inc. (RTI) is seeking a Full-Time Mental Health Worker to provide direct support and independent living skills training within our 24-hour residential programs in Minnesota.

Each shift supports individuals with SMI or TBI diagnoses, with supervision from the Program Manager. You will help clients develop daily living skills, coping strategies, and community integration, including managing medications, finances, and transportation, while fostering safety and respectful

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree in a related field may be required.
• Ability to pass DHS background check and other screenings.
• Willingness to travel within the Metro Area with a valid driver’s license and vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and independent living skills training in 24-hour residential programs.
• Support mental health management and coping skills.
• Model community integration: medications, finances, interpersonal interactions, transportation, housing tasks, and accessing resources.
• Engage with individuals to promote socialization and appropriate behavior.
• Participate in scheduled and spontaneous recreational activities.
• Teach healthy living habits and related skills.
