Job summary

Crawford County Mental Health Center seeks a dedicated worker to provide goal-directed supports and solution-focused interventions under the consumer's treatment plan. The role includes assisting with community resources, crisis intervention, and adherence to KDHE-approved trainings.

This on-site position located in Girard involves direct client interaction in community settings. Ideal candidates will be at least 18, possess a HS diploma or GED, and have KS certification to provide services.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Pass pre-employment background checks, Fingerprint, and State of Kansas Adult/Child Abuse.
• Certification in the State of Kansas to provide this service is required.
• Experience working with behaviorally challenged children with a mental health diagnosis preferred.
• Experience working with preschool children preferred.
• MOAB training as part of required skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow dress code policies of any alternative work locations, including schools, jails, courts, detention centers, and other community partners.
• Assist in assessment of needs assigned to consumers.
• Assist consumers in accessing community-based resources.
• Assist consumers in tasks related to treatment plan goals.
• Maintain close physical proximity with assigned consumer during group sessions at all times.
• Assist clients to participate in group sessions and help facilitators intervene when needed.
• Role-model appropriate behavior and life skills in a group setting.
• Complete annual trainings and 16 KDHE approved CEUs annually.
• Attend meetings and supervision as directed by supervisor.
• Complete and document time and services within 24 hours.
• Services allowed: Psychosocial Rehabilitation, Crisis Intervention, Attendant Care.
