Exciting VC-backed accelerator program is looking for a Community Manager to help build, grow, and energize its founder community from the ground up! As their first Community Manager, you’ll serve as the connective tissue between founders and operators while creating meaningful connections. You’ll own community communication channels, facilitate valuable introductions, and create engaging programming and events from intimate dinners to speaker sessions. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape a new accelerator with backing from prominent figures in the venture startup community! Someone with strong execution skills, a creative mindset, and a relationship builder who thrives in fast-paced environments with high ownership. Previous experience leading community, ops, or executive support is ideal. This is an in-office role based in San Francisco. 140-170K+ DOE + benefits!

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for a dynamic founder community.
  • Design and deliver both in-person and digital programming that fosters connection and engagement.
  • Facilitate meaningful introductions and build support networks among founders, advisors, and operators.
  • Manage and maintain community platforms such as WhatsApp, Slack, Notion, and email to ensure they remain active, valuable, and organized.
  • Plan and execute a variety of events, including intimate founder dinners, speaker sessions, and offsites.
  • Develop and improve systems that allow community members to easily access resources and support.
  • Monitor community engagement, gather feedback, and track community health metrics to identify areas for improvement and growth.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in community management, operations, program coordination, or founder-facing roles.
  • Proven ability to design and lead community experiences that are thoughtful, engaging, and effective.
  • Exceptional communication skills and a natural ability to build relationships across diverse groups.
  • Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented, with strong execution capabilities.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for bringing people together and crafting memorable moments.
  • Comfortable operating in fast-paced environments and taking ownership of outcomes.
  • Strong interest in startups, founders, and early-stage innovation.
  • Warm, welcoming, and service-oriented, with a mindset focused on support and connection.
