Job summary

Westdale in Shreveport, LA seeks an energetic Community Manager to oversee a residential property and lead all on-site operations. You will drive the financial performance, manage leasing activity, supervise staff, and uphold exceptional resident service in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires at least 3 years of on-site apartment management, strong bookkeeping and communication skills, and a CAM is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years Community Manager experience on a conventional apartment community.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook; knowledge of Yardi or similar programs.
• Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must be available evenings, nights and weekends for staffing needs and emergencies.
• CAM certification is a plus; High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining financial and operational accountability for the property
• Managing and coordinating persons, activities, and available resources to accomplish property objectives as set forth by the Regional Director and property owner
• Working with residents to renew leases, resolve problems, and ensure customer satisfaction
• Recording resident data such as traffic, leasing activity, renewals, and collection activity
• Hiring, training, motivating, and supervising staff

Rate: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually (Salary exempt position)

***Monthly new lease and renewal AND quarterly performance bonuses are paid in addition to base pay.***

We are seeking an energetic, organized, and goal-driven manager for an established national multi-family property management company to manage our community in Shreveport, Louisiana! As Community Manager, you will be responsible for the financial success of our residential multi-family property, while delivering quality, attentive management for our residents. The perfect candidate must have strong customer service and management skills and must also possess a strong sense of urgency and adaptability to a fast-paced and changing environment. If you have a successful track record of accomplishments in on-site apartment management, then we want to meet you!

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years Community Manager experience on a conventional apartment community.
• Must have computer skills in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Yardior other similar programs.
• Strong bookkeeping and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Superior customer service skills.
• Effective mentoring, coaching, and leadership skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) is a plus!
• Must be available evenings, nights, and weekends for staffing needs and emergencies.

Work Days: Monday - Friday
Work Hours: 9:00 am - 6:00 pm; Must be available evenings, nights, and weekends for staffing needs and emergencies.
Required License or Certification: Valid LA Driver's License
