Job summary

Victorian Senior Care in Garner, NC is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Associate to ensure timely upkeep of all communities. You will perform preventive maintenance, inspect systems, replace filters, and address safety and compliance needs to protect residents and property.

Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors, maintaining safety equipment, and adhering to all adult care home policies and procedures. A valid NC driver's license and clean records are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess relative experience or meet competency requirements.
• Must be able to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Must not have substantiated findings on the NC Personnel Registry or Health Care Program.
• Must have a clear SBI and DMV record and maintain them during period of employment.
• Must have a valid NC Driver's License.
• Must have had at least 8 years of driving experience, as this is a requirement of company's liability insurance carrier.
• Must be able to Lift, Push, & Pull a Minimum of 50 Pounds.

Responsibilities

• Check with supervisor for each day's schedule.
• Inspect appliances, etc., routinely to make minor repairs as preventive maintenance.
• Replace furnace/air conditioner filters on a regularly scheduled basis.
• Keep door knobs and locks on doors/windows working properly.
• Keep exterior of community in good order and ensure yard work is completed.
• Replace broken windows and ensure they operate smoothly.
• Make sure alarm systems are operating properly.
• Monitor roof and plumbing for leaks.
• Monitor furnishings and report when replacement is needed.
• Keep fire extinguishers updated and check for fire hazards.
• Handle problems as they arise.
• Perform other duties as required by circumstances.
• Help maintain residents' safety and dignity.
• Be familiar with safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Be aware of Residents' Bill of Rights and assist accordingly.
• Adhere to Adult Care Home policies and use supplies carefully.
• Participate in ongoing job-related education as required.
