Job summary

Sunrise Community, Inc. is seeking compassionate staff to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the community. This entry-level role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring safety, and promoting independence under supervision.

The position requires a valid driver's license with at least 3 years of driving experience, basic computer skills, and a high school diploma or equivalent. A pre-employment background check and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Driver's License and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• Must possess basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and reports any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rights.
• Provides support, assistance and supervision to meet the needs and goals of the individuals according to their plans.
• Ensures that each individual’s training, behavior and support programs are implemented and documented per regulatory requirements.
• Maintains health, safety and well-being of individuals at all times.
• Provides a positive, reinforcing environment that promotes independence and choice.
• Follows positioning schedules and uses equipment per plan.
• Assists with diet and equipment as required.
• Ensures homes, outside areas and vehicles are well maintained and organized.
