Job summary

Northeast Michigan Community Mental Health Authority in Rogers City, MI is seeking a Community Living Support Worker for part-time, non-exempt hours. The role focuses on helping individuals increase independence and participate in community activities, with a pay rate of $18.09 per hour.

Responsibilities include IPOS-based support, medication assistance, and coordination with families and case managers to promote recovery in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Knowledge of intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health issues desirable.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with individuals, families, natural supports, and providers.
  • Lived experience with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and/or substance use disorders valued.
  • Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to individuals per the IPOS and help achieve community inclusion goals.
  • Assist with medication setup and/or delivery following agency procedures.
  • Help find and maintain volunteer opportunities if desired.
  • Collaborate with providers, families, and case managers on assessments and planning.
  • Maintain health and safety, supporting independent living.
  • Prepare progress notes and required documentation per standards.
  • Adhere to universal precautions and emergency protocols.

Will assist individuals served gain access to participation in recreational, volunteer, and other community-based activities of their choosing. May participate in the interdisciplinary team meetings and person-centered planning process. Assist, prompt, and support individuals served in activities identified in the Individual Plan of Service (IPOS). Will assist with preserving the health and safety of individuals served to support the most integrated and independent setting. CLS activities will focus on improving independence and enhancing recovery.QUALIFICATIONS:Education: High School diploma or GED preferred.Experience: Knowledge of intellectual/developmental disabilities (I/DD) and mental health issues desirable.
