We offer both full-time and part-time positions with a variety of schedules to fit your availability—whether you prefer mornings, evenings, or something in between.

Full-time positions include a required weekend shift.

Responsibilities
  • Provide support on a scheduled basis to clients in all activities of daily living, including self‑care, domestic skills, money management, community integration, healthcare coordination, and medication administration.
  • Ensure a safe living environment for all clients in their homes by providing assistance and training on safety procedures and healthful living conditions.
  • Implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs), providing training and assistance to assure clients achieve established goals and objectives; maintain documentation of progress and day‑to‑day issues/concerns.
  • Complete required paperwork, including documentation of training and services provided, number of hours spent with client daily, medication/treatment administration, and general client service notes.
  • Accompany clients on varied community outings such as errands, appointments, and entertainment; operate a personal motor vehicle to transport clients as needed.
  • Attend staff meetings and in‑service trainings as scheduled to assure compliance with agency and state training regulations.
  • Perform related duties as assigned, assuring the best interest of both the agency and the clients' welfare.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the daily living and educational needs of developmentally disabled individuals. High‑school diploma or equivalence preferred.
  • Knowledge of the standard procedures, practices, rules and regulations of the Hopewell Center and the Supported Living Program.
  • Maintenance of CPR and basic First Aid certification.
  • Successful completion of Core A and Core B Medication Administration curriculum; demonstrate basic knowledge of medications, possible side effects, and ability to supervise clients' self‑administration or accurately administer medications as prescribed.
  • Working knowledge of behavioral management techniques; assess the need for intervention when problems arise and implement techniques within the parameters of a written behavior plan with appropriate documentation.
  • Basic budgeting and financial skills, including arithmetic calculations.
  • Proficiency in standard English grammar, spelling, and punctuation; maintain records of client activities.
  • Ability to satisfactorily complete all necessary in‑service training.
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and perform duties under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to follow all personnel policies and rules of the organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, clients, families, government agencies, healthcare professionals and the general public; provide assistance to promote clients' independence.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a demonstrated safe driving record; a vehicle available to transport clients for each scheduled shift, maintained in an acceptable manner to assure client safety.
