Job summary

Washington County’s St. George Library is seeking a Librarian to join the county library system and deliver welcoming, knowledgeable, and engaging services to our community. The role focuses on connecting patrons with information and resources while supporting programs and staying current with technology.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and in teams to serve the public effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of related library experience.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.
• Commitment to public service and inclusivity.

Responsibilities

• Provide reference assistance to patrons of all ages.
• Help patrons locate library materials and resources.
• Offer readers' advisory services.
• Teach patrons how to use computers and databases.
• Promote programs and library materials through displays and outreach.
• Provide training to community groups and organizations.
