Qualifications

• One year of full-time experience in a government agency or community organization providing community services or helping residents obtain services.
• Completion of an approved six-month training program in community liaison work plus six months of full-time related experience.
• Preference for applicants with at least a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide liaison functions between City agencies, local residents, and community organizations under direct supervision.
• Interview residents, landlords, government personnel, business people and youths to solicit support for development programs.
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of informational materials related to programs and activities.
• Assist in training subordinate staff and keep records related to programs and activities.
