Job summary

Urban Pathways in New York City is seeking a dedicated Cook to prepare and serve meals for program clients. You will work with a team to plan monthly menus, maintain kitchen safety, and ensure meals meet nutritional needs.

The role emphasizes high-quality customer service, cross-cultural awareness, and contributing to an anti-racist, inclusive organizational culture. Prior kitchen experience and basic computer skills are desirable.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to use common software.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for teamwork with clients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals for clients.
• Ensure meals meet nutritional requirements and seasonal menus.
• Maintain clean, organized kitchen and safe food-handling practices.
• Serve meals and assist with serving areas as needed.
• Document inventory and assist with basic reports.
