Job summary

Lifelong is a community health organization providing medically tailored meals, groceries, and nutrition education. The Cook will prepare high-quality meals per recipes, assist with daily kitchen production, packaging, and dishwashing, and ensure safety and portion control.

This regular full-time, non-exempt role operates in the Georgetown area of Seattle with onsite hours 08:30 AM–5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Prepare and cook food items according to standardized recipes, production sheets, and portion guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling, sanitation, and temperature controls to ensure safety.
• Train and direct volunteers in food prep and packaging as needed.
• Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and professionalism during shifts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and meal specs.
• Perform prep tasks: washing, chopping, slicing, marinating ingredients.
• Package meals with correct portion control and labeling.
• Monitor quality, taste, appearance, and freshness throughout production.
• Maintain clean, organized, and sanitary workstations.
