Job summary

Bowery Residents' Committee (BRC) is seeking a full-time Food Service worker to prepare, serve, and clean up meals, while maintaining sanitation standards for group settings in New York City. The role includes assisting with ordering and inventory and ensuring proper food storage.

TB clearance is required and a NYC Food Handler certificate is preferred or required depending on role. Candidates should be able to read and write English; a High School diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English is required.
• Two years experience cooking for groups of 20+ is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of NYC health regulations related to food service.
• NYC Food handler certificate is required.
• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• TB clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, serve and clean-up after meals.
