Job summary

Larimer County is seeking a Community Justice Pretrial Specialist to join the Alternative Sentencing Department. This entry-level role supports adult offenders within the Pretrial Services program, with intake responsibilities at the Larimer County Jail and potential shifts at Loveland.

Must be able to work weekends/holidays, including 24/7 coverage in the intake unit. The position requires strong writing, data gathering, and report preparation skills, plus capacity to learn new databases and

Qualifications

• Two (2) years of experience in a directly related field or similar duties preferred.
• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or related field required. Related education or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
• Possession of Adult CPR, First Aid and AED certification within three (3) months of hire date required.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License by date of hire is required.

Responsibilities

• Interviewing each arrestee.
• Conducting criminal history investigations.
• Verifying information on the bond application.
• Using information gathered in investigations and Colorado statutes/Orders.
• Making recommendations to the court regarding bond conditions and type to reduce risk of potential re-offense.
