Job summary

Hope Services in Salinas, CA, seeks a Job Coach II to provide individualized community-based services to HOPE clients across Monterey County. You will assess barriers, offer on-the-job training, and collaborate with employers to support ongoing success.

The role emphasizes flexible scheduling, travel across sites, and strong teamwork to help clients achieve sustainable employment outcomes. A High School diploma or GED and two years of related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent plus two years of related experience working with people with disabilities.
• One of those two years must be experience as a job coach.
• Flexibility in scheduling of work hours, location and type of assignments within the greater service region.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, document and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Take a lead role in providing job and skill training for HOPE clients working in the community, provide support and on the job training for other job coaches.
• Implements start-up projects and services, provides support for new locations.
• Provide needed supports to assure client success in employment placements and evaluate goals and follow-up services.
• Act as a liaison with the employer, providing training and supports for long-term employment success.
• Represent the Agency in the community and maintain professional relationships with families, employers, and funding sources.
• Complete required reports and documentation and maintain case files.
