Job summary

Hope Services in Emeryville, California, seeks a dedicated Job Coach II to deliver individualized services to HOPE clients across various worksites. You will assess and remediate personal and social barriers, and may provide job-site training and ongoing goal setting with employers to ensure successful community placements.

You will lead skill training, support new locations, and collaborate with HOPE staff to promote client success.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent plus two years of related experience with people with disabilities in a rehabilitation environment.
• Ability to observe, evaluate, document and communicate verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of time study development.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Knowledge of normalization concepts.
• Flexibility in scheduling and task prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Takes a lead role in providing job and skill training for HOPE clients in the community, and on-the-job training for other job coaches.
• Implements start-up projects and services, and supports new locations.
• Provides supports to assure client success in employment placements; may vary hours.
• Evaluates, trains, sets goals, and follows up for job retention.
• Liaises with employers to provide training and support for long-term employment success.
• Monitors assigned clients; advocates and provides referrals; assists with accommodations and ADA issues.
• Represents the Agency in the community and maintains professional relations with families, employers, and funding sources.
