Job summary

The Atlantic District is seeking an Insurance Agent in Gloucester, VA to serve as the face of our agency in the community. You’ll build lasting relationships with families and local businesses while helping clients understand their coverage options.

We value empathy, clear communication, and the ability to translate complex policy details into simple guidance. This is a client-facing role with base salary, commission, and bonus opportunities in a supportive, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Property & Casualty license is required or ability to obtain.
• Strong consultative sales experience in insurance or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with ability to explain complex policies clearly.
• Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline and build long-term client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build and cultivate relationships with families and businesses in Gloucester area.
• Assess client risks and recommend appropriate coverage for peace of mind.
• Reach out to prospective clients to explain protection options.
• Maintain accurate records of client interactions and policy changes in the system.
• Collaborate with a small team to improve local outreach and service standards.
• Stay updated on industry changes to ensure accurate, helpful guidance.
