Job summary

Carleton College is seeking a Program Manager for Community and Civic Engagement to oversee a portfolio of community programs within the CCCE. The role includes supervising student leaders, coordinating Lighten Up fundraising, and managing ASB and Summer Internship programs.

Required: a bachelor’s degree and at least 3 years of related experience, plus strong leadership, ethics, and communication skills. The position is 0.92 FTE and based in Northfield, MN.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required and at least 3 years of full-time related professional experience.
• Experience coaching, mentoring, or supervising adolescents/young adults/college students.
• Skills in collaborative leadership, ethics of community engagement, project management, supervision and mentorship of young adults.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills and strong judgement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise two student fellow cohorts and related community volunteer programs (40%).
• Organize Lighten Up fundraising program with cross-functional teams and manage logistics for ~50,000 pounds of materials.
• Lead the ASB program staff team and recruit/train trip leaders and participants.
• Coordinate Summer Internships with local partner organizations.
• Collaborate on center-wide operations and programs as needed.
