The role focuses on turning community insights into action that strengthens journalism, trust, and local impact. You will partner with News to identify story opportunities, engage audiences across channels, and lead forums, town halls, and public-service initiatives.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent years of experience.
• 7+ years of experience in community engagement, journalism, nonprofit leadership, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with community stakeholders.
• Gather, analyze, and communicate community insights to leadership and partners.
• Identify story opportunities and connect journalists with trusted sources.
• Lead planning and execution of forums, town halls, and public-service initiatives.
• Develop and execute a market-wide community engagement strategy.
• Advise leadership on community needs and opportunities.
• Oversee cross-functional engagement efforts and measure impact.
