Job summary

Maricopa County Department of Public Health seeks a Registered Nurse to provide immunizations at outreach events and in clinics, helping to protect community health across Maricopa County. The role blends direct patient care with public health engagement and may require after-hours work.

Responsibilities include vaccine administration for both adults and children, documentation, and collaboration with partners.

Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience.
• Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing and a valid, unrestricted RN license.
• Experience with child and adult vaccination.
• Experience with IIS (vaccine registry system).
• Experience with the VFC program.
• Bilingual skills (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Provides immunizations to adults and children at outreach events and in immunization clinics.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation through nurse's notes, reporting forms, consent forms, and electronic databases, and provides clients with proof of administered immunizations.
• Collaborates with community partners and public health agencies to support immunization activities, share relevant information, and participate in meetings, trainings, and in-services related to immunization practices and public health priorities.
• Participate in vaccine preventable disease responses.
• Other duties as assigned to support the mission of the Immunization Program and the Community Health & Resource Services (CHRS) Division.
