Job summary

Acts Retirement-Life Communities in Fort Washington seeks a Community Human Resources Director to lead HR at the community level, including recruitment, onboarding, and retention aligned with our mission. The role partners with Regional HR and community leadership to implement talent strategies, foster a positive culture, coach staff, and ensure compliance with employment laws.

Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, 3–5 years of leadership HR experience, and SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or PHR/SPHR

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• 3–5 years of progressive HR leadership experience, including at least 1 year in recruitment.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices and employment laws.
• Professional HR certification (SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR, or SPHR) strongly preferred.

Acts is currently seeking qualified candidates for our Community Human Resources Director position.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions at the community level, including recruitment and onboarding processes to attract, hire, and retain top talent aligned with the organization’s mission and values. Cultivates a positive and inclusive work environment by proactively supporting team member relations through coaching, effective conflict resolution, and meaningful engagement initiatives. Partners closely with the Regional HR Director and community leadership to implement talent strategies, strengthen workplace culture, and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and organizational policies and procedures.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in a leadership capacity, including at least one year of recruitment experience, preferably in a senior living, healthcare, or hospitality environment
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and team member relations
• Professional HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is strongly preferred

Pay Range

$76,385.00 - $96,267.00 / year. Starting rate will vary based on skills and experience.
