Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Housekeeper to clean common areas and resident apartments in the community. Responsibilities include cleaning, completing maintenance reports, reporting damage, handling laundry, and maintaining privacy. The role requires ability to lift 25 lbs and work weekends/holidays, with a pay range of $16-$18 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to complete assignments thoroughly and on time.
• Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
• Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, bend, grasp, push and pull for extended periods.
• Must be able to lift 25 lbs and carry heavy objects for up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cleaning of the entire facility, with emphasis on common areas and apartment bathrooms.
• Complete maintenance request reports when needed.
• Report deterioration or damage to the building and furnishings to housekeeping supervisor.
• Operate the laundry equipment when needed.
• Report inadequate quantities of supplies to housekeeping supervisor.
• Use approved cleaning products and store supplies properly.
• Clean office areas when assigned.
• Dust and clean window blinds in the community.
• Dust furniture, bookshelves, etc. in resident areas.
• Vacuum common areas and resident apartments.
• Keep common areas and resident bathrooms clean.
• Clean apartments at resident move-out.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings.
• Maintain resident privacy at all times.
• Follow policies regarding release of resident information.
