Job summary

Distinctive Living is seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain cleanliness and laundry across our community. This role involves apartment and common area cleaning, linen changes, and ensuring privacy and safety in residents' homes.

Full-Time or Part-Time positions available. You will follow procedures, log activities, and communicate with supervisors while upholding HIPAA and safety standards in a respectful, resident-focused environment. Experience with carpet care and disinfecting is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of housekeeping or cleaning experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned residences to perform basic apartment cleaning of bathroom fixtures and floors, dusting, vacuuming, linen changes, bed making, and bathroom cleaning.
• Change bedding weekly; manage linen inventory and washing logistics.
• Interact with residents in a friendly manner and communicate health concerns to management.
• Maintain cleanliness of all common areas and ensure spaces are visitor-friendly seven days a week.
• Clean floors and carpets; use appropriate cleaning/disinfecting solutions and ensure safety signs are placed and removed.
• Clean public restrooms, sanitize fixtures and remove water marks.
• Handle hazardous cleaning supplies per procedures and ensure proper labeling.
• Attend in-service training and on-the-job instruction as scheduled.
• Respond to resident emergencies per protocol and assist with safety/disaster procedures.
• Maintain compliance with local, state, federal regulations including HIPAA, OSHA, and labor laws.
• Work safely and report unsafe actions; follow procedures for injuries and return to work.
• Foster teamwork, take initiative, and positively impact residents and staff.
• Develop basic knowledge of the organization to answer common questions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
