Job summary

Commonwealth Senior Living in Virginia Beach is seeking a housekeeper for daily cleaning duties across the community. Open Interviews are held every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 440 N Lynnhaven Road, Va Beach.

The role requires attention to safety, timely cleaning of floors, carpets and rooms, and the ability to report needed repairs to management. Prior housekeeping experience is preferred; English literacy is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions with established procedures as assigned.
• Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and when using equipment and supplies.
• Clean floors, including sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing and disinfecting.
• Clean carpets, including vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing and disinfecting.
• Clean furnishings in hallways, stairways, and elevator areas as applicable.
• Clean resident rooms including vacuuming, mopping, dusting, disinfecting and sanitizing bathrooms.
