Support Research That Improves Lives Across KentuckyThe University of Kentucky is seeking an Community Health Worker to support the faculty and staff of our fast-paced research center within the Center for Clinical and Translational Science.

This role sits at the intersection of research support, outreach, and customer service, helping connect researchers with participants and ensuring smooth operations across a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. You’ll play a key role in supporting research initiatives that advance healthcare outcomes and strengthen community engagement.

What You’ll Do
  • Address community concerns through health promotion education interventions, navigation to health and social resources, prevention and screenings, research, and survivorship resources.
  • Support the recruitment efforts of UK investigators, stakeholders and trainees.
  • Make post-event follow-up calls for clients interested in preventative screenings, clinical trials, and survivorship and navigate to appropriate resources.
  • Provides general assistance to CCTS researchers, trainees, clinicians and staff in the coordination of outreach activities.
  • Collaborate with community members, community leaders, UKHC clinicians and researchers to co-develop outreach and education activities that reflect community-identified health priorities.
  • Identify partners to expand CCTS reach to medically underserved populations in central Kentucky and beyond.
