Job summary

Burrell Behavioral Health in Springfield, MO is seeking a compassionate Community Support Specialist to help adults in the community and to assist individuals with SMI/SUD through our Disease Management program.

You will mentor and support clients using motivational interviewing, coordinate with the intake team, and ensure comprehensive follow-up care while maintaining accurate documentation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work or related field required.
• Four years of qualifying experience in human services or a combination of education and experience.
• QAP certification or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Experience with motivational interviewing and crisis response.

Responsibilities

• Deliver community-based mental health services and mentorship.
• Provide crisis intervention and follow-up care.
• Coordinate with intake and Disease Management teams.
• Maintain accurate cohort lists and state reporting.
• Support individuals with SMI/SUD through the disease management program.
