Job summary

The Sault Ste. Marie Tribe of Chippewa Indians is seeking a Community Health Program Coordinator to support day-to-day operations at the health division site.

You will perform front desk reception, greet clients, answer calls, process cash receipts, and assist in maintaining EHR/MCIR records with HIPAA compliance. Under the Community Health Nurse, you will help manage clerical tasks, coordinate supplies, support outreach, and participate in maintaining accreditation standards while contributing

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a general office setting is required.
• Background check and pre-employment drug testing required.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and confidentiality standards preferred; strong communication and organizational skills required.

Responsibilities

• Greets clients/visitors and handles phone calls and messages.
• Processes cash collections and receipts for health offices.
• Maintains office equipment and orders supplies.
• Performs general clerical tasks and files maintenance.
• Assists clients in accessing Tribal/Health Services via outreach and case-finding.
• Supports office appearance and general operations.
