Job summary

Erie Neighborhood House seeks a Health Educator to lead nutrition and cooking programming for diverse audiences, including children and multigenerational groups. The role involves coordinating movement and wellness classes with external vendors and educators, primarily based at 1347 W Erie with weekly site visits to 1701 W Superior and 4225 W 25th.

The educator will design outreach materials, assess community needs, and partner with the Health Initiatives Manager to meet public health goals

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in health and Nutrition, Education, Human Services or equivalent experience.
Strong communication and public speaking skills.
Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work with immigrant populations and diverse families.

Responsibilities

Develop presentations and targeted lesson plans for in-person health education sessions.
Create and distribute educational materials and aids (pamphlets, posters, videos).
Plan and implement educational programs; define staffing and material needs to reach objectives.
Collaborate with Health Initiatives Manager to set educational objectives and outcomes.
Design community assessments and analyze public health data to guide programming.
