Job summary

McMillen Health is seeking a full-time Health Educator to deliver interactive, fact-based education programs and help develop and evaluate curriculum. The role involves presenting to community groups, schools, businesses, and nonprofits, with occasional evenings and weekends.

You will travel up to 150 miles for outreach, support marketing of programs, and collaborate with staff to advance the organization's plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education, health, nursing, or related field is required.
• Teaching license or CHES preferred.
• Two years of teaching experience required.
• Strong organizational, verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, internet usage, and email.

Responsibilities

• Learn multiple health education programs and present them to community groups, schools, businesses and nonprofits.
• Deliver program presentations with visuals, activities, and learning strategies.
• Collaborate in team conferences and share knowledge with staff and volunteers.
• Identify opportunities for development of new programs and outreach.
• Travel up to 150 miles for outreach programming as needed.
