Job summary

Mohave County Public Health-Nursing Division seeks a Community Health Education Specialist I to support HIV prevention efforts, develop educational programs, and lead outreach in Mohave County. The role involves travel, delivering presentations, and collaborating with local partners to expand health education impact.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in public health education or related field and at least one year of public-facing experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in public health education or related field is required.
• One year of experience working with the public in public health education.
• Equivalent combinations of education, experience, and training will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates county health education programs and training.
• Coordinates and presents workshops to educate the public on health topics.
• Provides prevention counseling and referrals to appropriate resources.
• Conducts community outreach, prepares articles, and participates in media interviews.
• Documents data for reporting and assists in grant proposals.
