Job summary

Maniilaq Association seeks a Part-Time Community Health Aide Trainee in Noatak, Alaska to provide first-line health care in village clinics under supervision. The role is tied to the Community Health Aide Program with a focus on completing required trainings and advancing to CHA-I level.

Applicants must meet TABE and training requirements, lift up to 50 lbs, and be willing to serve in challenging rural settings. Housing is covered, and travel for CME is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and successful TABE test completion.
• Must attend training as scheduled and work under supervision.
• Willing to provide village medical health services on routine and emergency bases.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and remain standing or seated for extended periods.
• Ability to speak Inupiaq is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide first line health care in village clinics under supervision.
• Attend CHAP trainings and progress toward CHA-I level.
• Assist with emergency and acute care under CHAM guidelines.
• Support PHN and WIC programs as needed.
• Maintain clinic records, meds, and supplies; travel for training as required.
