Job summary

In Flight, Inc. is seeking compassionate individuals for a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP) role. You will work one-on-one with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities, providing home and community support to build independence and life skills.

This is a flexible, rewarding per diem position with cases in Hudson, Red Hook, and Stanfordville. Mileage reimbursement is available; NYS background clearances are required; valid driver license and insurance are

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
• No experience required; one year of related experience is preferred.
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for the individuals.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Be energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor.
• Be able to attend mandatory trainings as needed.

We’re looking for compassionate and motivated individuals to join our Community Habilitation program. As a Community Habilitation Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will work one-on-one with children and/or adults with developmental disabilities, providing support at home and in the community to help them build independence and life skills. This is a flexible, fun, and rewarding role where you can make a direct impact.

Cases are in Hudson, Red Hook and Stanfordville. This is a per diem position.

What you will be doing:

E XPERIENCE:

• Working with Individuals that have IDD preferred but not required

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma/GED is required; an associate degree is preferred.
• No experience required; one year of related experience is preferred. Working as caregivers or with adults with developmental disabilities.
• Be empathetic and have a team approach to care for the individuals
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor
• Be able to attend mandatory trainings as needed

REQUIREMENTS:

• Pass all NYS and OPWDD background clearances
• USE OF YOUR OWN VEHICLE -Mileage reimbursement available
