The Grand Rapids Community Foundation seeks a Community Giving Manager to lead and maintain relationships with assigned fund committees, driving fundraising, grantmaking and partnerships in the Grand Rapids community.
They will provide comprehensive support, consultation and project management to advisory committees, while collaborating across departments to align efforts with the Foundation’s mission and North Star.
The Community Giving Manager will lead, advance and maintain relationships with assigned fund committees to ensure continued growth and impact through fundraising, grantmaking and growing community partnerships. The Community Giving Manager will provide comprehensive support, consultation and project management to the advisory committees of the community partnership funds: Black Legacy Fund, Our LGBTQ Fund, Somos Comunidad Fund and the Youth Grant Committee. They will function as liaison between departments, team members and the fund committees to coordinate support and functions.
The Community Giving Manager must be pro-active, creative and thrive working in a collaborative environment that is mission-driven, results-driven and community oriented. They will have a demonstrated ability to be flexible and adaptive while exercising strong judgement and exceptional attention to detail, all while multitasking to meet deadlines.
The Community Giving Manager will have an extraordinary understanding and commitment to the Community Foundation’s mission and North Star along with experience collaborating effectively with people from various cultural, social and ethnic backgrounds. They will have a demonstrated ability and commitment to work in a collaborative setting, effectively communicate around sensitive issues, a highly developed cultural awareness and the ability to be an active listener.
